Southwest Horizon School Division has embarked on a large scale information gathering project with a company called "Thoughtexchange"! Thoughtexchange will assist us in getting input from our entire community on their thoughts about our schools and division. We want to gain a better understanding of what is important to our parents, staff and community members.
An invitation email was sent to all parents and staff on October 27 with a link to our questions. If you did not receive an email from your school please use this link to access our Thoughtexchange process.
What happens with the shared thoughts? Following November 5, all shared thoughts are reviewed by Thoughtexchange and will be removed if they are rude or hurtful to a person or a group of people or if they do not answer the question. Thoughtexchange then groups those thoughts and resends them to all participants so that everyone may see the ideas of others and star their favorites. This will take place between November 10 and 19. From there, Thoughtexchange analyzes the information and reports the results to the community so that we can see what is important to the community as a whole.
We believe that through communication, our schools, our community, and especially our students will benefit. The more participation we have, the stronger we become! Please contact myself or your school's prinicipal if you have questions.

The school is now accepting registration for Kindergarten students for the 2014-2015 school year. Parents who have children of Kindergarten age are asked to register these children with the school secretary between 8:30 a.m. ñ 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday at the school office. Parents are asked to bring their childís birth certificate when they come to register, so we can make a copy for our files. Children must be five years of age on or before December 31st, 2014. Anyone who is aware of neighbors and friends who may have children ready to begin Kindergarten in the fall are asked to pass the message on to them to assist with our school planning.
