Our Early Years Music Room purchased a new piano a few years ago, through generous donations and fundraising. We thoroughly enjoy and appreciate this new piano. We now have decided to say goodbye to the old piano and find a new home for it.
The piano is a ëClassicí from the ëMason & Risch Co.í. The piano tuner, Dale Whetter, feels it would be a good piano for beginner students.
SoÖ..anyone who would like a FREE piano for your home, please call the school at 483-2161 and dial O and leave your name with the secretaries. If there are a few people interested a name will be drawn out of a hat. Moving and tuning will be your responsibility.

HIGH SCHOOL RODEO
Souris Schoolís high school rodeo team members, Jordan Moreau and Jeff Denbow had a successful finish to their 2009 ñ 2010 season. Having just entered high school rodeo in the beginning of their Grade 11 year, the boys began at the very bottom and had to work hard to get some points built up. The fall season was a little ìdryî and they did not have a lot of success, but lots of practice and fun!! The spring season proved to be more exciting for Jeff and Jordan and by the end of the year they were doing well. At Manitoba Finals in Hamiota on the weekend of June 11, 12, 13 Jordan caught his steer each day in Tie Down, and the boys caught two out of three days in Team Roping. They placed 6th in the province in Team Roping, and Jordan finished 9th in Tie
Down calf roping.
Having a better spring season brought them much closer to the top of the standings and has allowed these two cowboys to head to Gillette, Wyoming for Nationals in mid July. Jeff and Jordan are competing in Team Roping in Gillette, and Jordan also will compete in Tie Down. They are awaiting word at the beginning of July to see if they will be able to compete in Canadian finals. When teams from the other provinces are unable to fill all their spots, other provinces are then allowed to draw for spots to compete. We hope that Jeff and Jordan will be lucky and able to compete locally.
Manitoba is hosting the Canadian High School Rodeo Finals in Virden August 5, 6, and 7th. There are posters around town advertising this event. If you or your child could use a FREE student ticket for students aged 10 ñ 18 who have student Photo ID cards, please contact Lori Denbow at 483 - 2199, Jordan Moreau or Jeff Denbow. Students under 10 are free. Manitoba High School Rodeo is a fun, well disciplined activity that is open to students from age 12 and up, and is always looking for more members.
